How do I find out about what's happening at Jesus House?
Jesus House has various social media outlets where we post about upcoming events and activities that are occurring at the church, including Facebook, Instagram, and the events calendar on the website. The Jesus House YouTube channel also provides content coming from the church, both past content and updates on what is happening in the future! We also have other outlets of contact, including the Connect Card that can be filled out during one of our services, and the “Contact Us” form that can be filled out on our website.
Where and when does Jesus House meet?
Jesus House meets every Sunday at 10 AM central time and every Wednesday at 6:30 PM central time at 3830 KY-54, Suites 301 & 302, in Owensboro, KY (42303). We have services for both kids and adults during these times! Adults meet in our Sanctuary in Suite 302, and Jesus House KIDS has a dedicated check-in process and classroom space designed specifically for them in Suite 301. These suites are directly connected for very easy and quick access to kids check-in and check-out. We do however like to have our kids join us in the Sanctuary from time to time for our regular worship service and for prayer. We believe it is important that children see how adults engage with The Lord and that we all have the opportunity to worship The Lord as an entire family!
What does a Sunday morning service look like at Jesus House?
A Sunday morning service at Jesus House is filled with exuberant and also reverent praise and worship, concentrated prayer and intercession, and the preaching of the Word of God. We also regularly partake of communion together, have a time of healing ministry, fellowship with others, give through tithes and offerings, and take dedicated time to have baptisms, baby dedications, and share testimonies. Services at Jesus House are characterized by a strong desire to be led by the Holy Spirit. an awareness to go where He is moving, and a commitment to obey what He is speaking.
Does Jesus House have a midweek service option?
Yes! The Jesus House midweek service begins at 6:30 PM central time weekly! We feel that The Lord has given us a very specific mandate for Wednesday nights. Wednesday night services will include worship and prayer/intercession. After worship and prayer, some Wednesday services will include discipleship sessions (intently studying the Bible together), and some Wednesday night services will include outreach and evangelism in our city!
Does Jesus House have a KIDS ministry?
Absolutely! We place a very high emphasis on the Jesus House KIDS ministry and work to ensure that all of the kids that come to Jesus House are learning the Bible, learning how to pray, learning how to worship, and learning how to believe Him for the impossible. We believe that God works mightily through kids and that they can be very attentive to the leading of The Holy Spirit. We diligently plan to make sure every kid that comes to Jesus House is safe and in a nurturing environment. Jesus House KIDS are the future, and it is our responsibility to train them in the way of The Lord!
What does Jesus House do for outreach?
The outreach wing of Jesus House is called Jesus House Compassion. We recognize in God’s Word that when Jesus would heal that it would be coupled with strong moves of compassion. Compassion for the lost, the broken, and the hurting and moving to action to meet needs around us is essential. We must pair our faith with works of compassion and love. We do larger Jesus House Compassion outreach ministries quarterly and around special times of the year (Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc.), and we also incorporate these acts into our Wednesday night gatherings.
How do I get involved with serving at Jesus House?
We model everything we do as a Serve Team after the true servanthood that Jesus displayed. We believe that when Jesus stepped down from Heaven and took up an old rugged cross that we all were given the perfect picture of servanthood. We also see this act of servanthood modeled by Jesus in the washing of the disciples’ feet. Jesus, before He washed the disciples’ feet, took off His outer garment and picked up the towel. What an act! We appreciate anyone willing to link arms with us and to join the mission and vision of the house through serving! We encourage anyone interested in serving to first come and attend regularly at the church and to grasp the mission, vision, core values, and 7 pillars of the house. By doing so, we believe that all of the Serve Team will have a shared outlook on servanthood and understand the heartbeat of Jesus House. To get a better understanding of the mission, vision, core values, 7 pillars, and where Jesus House is headed, we encourage everyone to attend “The Road Home,” which is our pathway to membership, serving, and a deep dive into anything and everything about Jesus House! “The Road Home” sessions are held for a duration of 1 hour following two different Sunday services. “The Road Home” is held regularly and dates for the next pair of sessions are announced frequently! Fill out a Connect Card and check the box that you are interested in serving, or you can contact the church directly via the contact information on the website to let us know!
