Leadership/Meet the Pastors
Pastor Clinton and Caitlyn are the senior leaders of Jesus House! Pastor Clinton is a Tri-State native, growing up in Henderson, Kentucky, and Caitlyn grew up in the quaint town of Springfield in central Kentucky. After meeting at Lindsey Wilson College, they became college sweethearts and both graduated in 2014, Pastor Clinton with degrees in Christian Ministries and Accounting, and Caitlyn with a degree in Music Education and a minor in Christian Ministries. Shortly thereafter, they were married in the Tri-State in the summer of 2015. They have spent their entire marriage living here in Owensboro, KY, are raising their two daughters here, Gwenyth Myla and Hollis Joan, and are currently expecting their third child! The Berry family loves to stay active and enjoy life. Pastor Clinton is an avid tennis player and drummer, Caitlyn is always working on a musical project and teaching music to elementary aged students, and they love to be involved in all of their kids’ sports and music activities!
Pastor Clinton and Caitlyn love the people of this community and the Tri-State region deeply. They firmly believe that God has placed a compelling mandate on their lives to reach Owensboro and the Tri-State region with the redemptive message of The Gospel of Jesus Christ. Above all, Pastor Clinton and Caitlyn love sharing unashamedly with everyone about the single pursuit of their lives, Jesus Himself, and have purposed in their hearts to do whatever it takes to know Him more. He is the reward and the desire of their hearts!
The Story of Jesus House
Pastor Clinton and Caitlyn discussed for years upon getting married and taking root in Owensboro what The Lord was speaking to their heart about planting a church in the Tri-State region. Even prior to that, during their college years, The Lord really had already begun to churn something on the inside of them through the power of The Holy Spirit, and birthed within them a desire to plant a church that would be located in this region. In early 2021, after seeking The Lord in prayer and consulting wise counsel and mentors, they decided that it was now time to put into action the dreams and plans that The Lord Jesus had revealed to them. In May of 2021, after prayer and fasting, The Lord showed them what the name of the church should be. Pastor Clinton really felt that “Jesus” needed to be at the forefront and in the name of the church. He also felt that The Lord had continually revealed what would be a banner Bible verse for the church, Psalm 127:1, which states that The Lord must be the builder of the house, or all of the work would be in vain. When sharing these revelations with Caitlyn, it suddenly clicked what The Lord was saying to name the church, as Caitlyn put the two revelations together and proposed the name Jesus House. Pastor Clinton instantly agreed that that was what The Lord was saying to name the church! There has been and continues to be prophetic significance surrounding the name, and we love the bold declaration that it makes, as we have decided in our hearts to never change the dial from our fixation on Jesus! Origination and the manner in which the church started was super important to our pastors. Pastor Clinton felt that the church should be birthed out of prayer and intercession and be inundated and saturated with prayer at all times. So, in the summer of 2021, Pastor Clinton and Caitlyn started live streaming worship, prayer, intercession, and preaching sessions from their Owensboro home on Sunday nights and shared them via social media. In October of 2021, The Lord prompted them to take things further and host an in-person service in their home on Sunday nights, which continued periodically into the early to middle part of 2022. In June of 2022, Jesus House started meeting at the Highland Elementary School gymnasium in Owensboro, also on Sunday nights. On the first Sunday of October 2022, Jesus House officially began meeting on Sunday mornings at 10 AM at the Highland Elementary School gymnasium and continued to meet there until May 21, 2023. Then, with a quick interim stop at the Holiday Inn Owensboro Riverfront Conference Room, The Lord miraculously opened up a door for Jesus House to obtain a permanent home at 3830 KY-54 in Owensboro! This location was something that we as a congregation had prayed, fasted, and believed God for, and to see it come to pass has been something that coincidence cannot take the credit for. We are so very thankful to God for His provision! We believe from the onset that Jesus has been knocking on the doors of our hearts, desiring to come in and dine with us, and us with Him. As a result, we feel that the origination of Jesus House was purposely orchestrated by The Lord to be a place of real, authentic, and simplistic hunger for Jesus to come and commune with us, a place where we minister to His heart continually, and a place where people strongly desire to encounter Him! We believe in adhering to The Word of God, the Bible, as a blueprint for the focus, intention, structure, and health of the living and active church that God desires to see on this earth! We believe that there is a greater measure of His glory to come, and we can’t wait to see what Jesus does in the lives of the people of this region through the ministry of Jesus House, the church that He is building!
