Leadership/Meet the Pastors

Pastor Clinton and Caitlyn are the senior leaders of Jesus House! Pastor Clinton is a Tri-State native, growing up in Henderson, Kentucky, and Caitlyn grew up in the quaint town of Springfield in central Kentucky. After meeting at Lindsey Wilson College, they became college sweethearts and both graduated in 2014, Pastor Clinton with degrees in Christian Ministries and Accounting, and Caitlyn with a degree in Music Education and a minor in Christian Ministries. Shortly thereafter, they were married in the Tri-State in the summer of 2015. They have spent their entire marriage living here in Owensboro, KY, are raising their two daughters here, Gwenyth Myla and Hollis Joan, and are currently expecting their third child! The Berry family loves to stay active and enjoy life. Pastor Clinton is an avid tennis player and drummer, Caitlyn is always working on a musical project and teaching music to elementary aged students, and they love to be involved in all of their kids’ sports and music activities!

Pastor Clinton and Caitlyn love the people of this community and the Tri-State region deeply. They firmly believe that God has placed a compelling mandate on their lives to reach Owensboro and the Tri-State region with the redemptive message of The Gospel of Jesus Christ. Above all, Pastor Clinton and Caitlyn love sharing unashamedly with everyone about the single pursuit of their lives, Jesus Himself, and have purposed in their hearts to do whatever it takes to know Him more. He is the reward and the desire of their hearts!

The Story of Jesus House

Pastor Clinton and Caitlyn discussed for years upon getting married and taking root in Owensboro what The Lord was speaking to their heart about planting a church in the Tri-State region. Even prior to that, during their college years, The Lord really had already begun to churn something on the inside of them through the power of The Holy Spirit, and birthed within them a desire to plant a church that would be located in this region. In early 2021, after seeking The Lord in prayer and consulting wise counsel and mentors, they decided that it was now time to put into action the dreams and plans that The Lord Jesus had revealed to them. In May of 2021, after prayer and fasting, The Lord showed them what the name of the church should be. Pastor Clinton really felt that “Jesus” needed to be at the forefront and in the name of the church.  He also felt that The Lord had continually revealed what would be a banner Bible verse for the church, Psalm 127:1, which states that The Lord must be the builder of the house, or all of the work would be in vain. When sharing these revelations with Caitlyn, it suddenly clicked what The Lord was saying to name the church, as Caitlyn put the two revelations together and proposed the name Jesus House. Pastor Clinton instantly agreed that that was what The Lord was saying to name the church! There has been and continues to be prophetic significance surrounding the name, and we love the bold declaration that it makes, as we have decided in our hearts to never change the dial from our fixation on Jesus! Origination and the manner in which the church started was super important to our pastors. Pastor Clinton felt that the church should be birthed out of prayer and intercession and be inundated and saturated with prayer at all times. So, in the summer of 2021, Pastor Clinton and Caitlyn started live streaming worship, prayer, intercession, and preaching sessions from their Owensboro home on Sunday nights and shared them via social media. In October of 2021, The Lord prompted them to take things further and host an in-person service in their home on Sunday nights, which continued periodically into the early to middle part of 2022. In June of 2022, Jesus House started meeting at the Highland Elementary School gymnasium in Owensboro, also on Sunday nights. On the first Sunday of October 2022, Jesus House officially began meeting on Sunday mornings at 10 AM at the Highland Elementary School gymnasium and continued to meet there until May 21, 2023.  Then, with a quick interim stop at the Holiday Inn Owensboro Riverfront Conference Room, The Lord miraculously opened up a door for Jesus House to obtain a permanent home at 3830 KY-54 in Owensboro! This location was something that we as a congregation had prayed, fasted, and believed God for, and to see it come to pass has been something that coincidence cannot take the credit for. We are so very thankful to God for His provision! We believe from the onset that Jesus has been knocking on the doors of our hearts, desiring to come in and dine with us, and us with Him. As a result, we feel that the origination of Jesus House was purposely orchestrated by The Lord to be a place of real, authentic, and simplistic hunger for Jesus to come and commune with us, a place where we minister to His heart continually, and a place where people strongly desire to encounter Him! We believe in adhering to The Word of God, the Bible, as a blueprint for the focus, intention, structure, and health of the living and active church that God desires to see on this earth! We believe that there is a greater measure of His glory to come, and we can’t wait to see what Jesus does in the lives of the people of this region through the ministry of Jesus House, the church that He is building!

Jesus is King, He builds the house, and this is a habitation for His presence!

What to Expect

Our number one desire for anyone who arrives at Jesus House is that they will encounter Jesus on a deep, personal level. We long for everyone that is in a Jesus House service to experience the King and feel His presence in a tangible way.  You can expect to hear worship music that is vibrant and celebratory as well as sweet and reverent, all sung straight to Him. We allow the Holy Spirit to lead the flow of our worship as we minister to The Lord. We preach the Word in its entirety and also regularly incorporate communion, baptisms, baby dedications, and healing ministry into our services. You can also expect to see a strong emphasis on dedicated times of prayer and focused intercession during different points in our services, including times of prayer at the altar. We hold pre-service prayer from 9:00 AM-9:30 AM in The Fragrant Room on Sunday mornings, where we invite anyone to come and join us in asking The Lord to move in a powerful way across our entire church and during our Sunday services. Jesus House consists of members who are full of the love of God and carry His glory to everyone they come in contact with.

We currently hold Sunday service at a new, permanent location in Owensboro, KY that is amidst sprawling development and located right on the busy thoroughfare of HWY 54. You can expect accessible parking near the building, a warm welcome at the front door, and people that genuinely care about loving and fellowshipping with others! For your children on a Sunday morning, you can expect a safe check-in process that starts at 9:35 AM in the entrance of the Jesus House KIDS building. We ensure that your kids are safe in their classrooms with a printed name tag and that we have the appropriate contact information and allergy/medical information digitally on file. Check-out begins promptly after service, and a parent name tag is matched with the child’s name tag to validate a safe check-out procedure for all kids! If you have any questions at all about your first visit to Jesus House, please do not hesitate to contact us. We want you to feel prepared and know that it is an honor to host you and your family!

We launched our Wednesday night services on April 12, 2023! Wednesday night services are at our new, permanent location as well. You can expect accessible parking near the building, a warm welcome at the front door, and Kids ministry check-in/check-out procedures that are the same as our Sunday services! Formats on Wednesday will vary from time to time, as we feel a mandate from The Lord to allow for an environment of praise, worship, prayer, concentrated discipleship, and outreach as well. We look to dive deep into the study of God’s Word on these nights and to really equip the people of Jesus House to grow rooted and firmly established in the faith, empowered to share The Gospel with the lost, and focused on becoming transformed more and more into the image of Jesus! With this in mind, there will be some form of outreach ministry taking place on certain Wednesday nights that are announced well in advance (street evangelism, praying with the public for healing, partnering with nonprofits to find needs and meet needs, etc.).

We can’t wait to see you at one of our weekly Jesus House services! Come experience His presence and His glory!

Beliefs

The Bible

We believe The Bible is the inspired Word of God, God’s revealed word to man, the infallible rule of faith and conduct, and is superior to conscience and reason, but not contrary to reason.

Healing

We believe that deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atoning work of Christ on the Cross, is the privilege of all Believers, and is in answer to the prayer of faith.

Baptism in the Holy Spirit

We believe the baptism in the Holy Spirit is given to Believers who ask for it.

The Second Coming of Jesus & The Resurrection

We believe in the personal, imminent return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their translation, together with those who are alive and remain unto the coming of The Lord, is the blessed hope of the church.

Judgment

We believe there will be a final judgment in which the wicked dead will be raised and judged according to their works. Whosoever is not found written in the Book of Life, together with the devil and his angels, the beast and the false prophet, will be consigned to everlasting punishment in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death. In summary, we believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the saved to everlasting life and the lost without salvation to everlasting damnation.

The Trinity

We believe Scripture teaches that there is only one true living God who has chosen to reveal Himself as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

God

We believe that the one true God has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent “I AM,” the Creator of heaven and earth and the Redeemer of mankind.

Jesus

We believe that Jesus is the eternal Son of God. The Scriptures detail His virgin birth, that He is the Son of God and the son of man, His sinless life, His miracles, His substitutionary work on the cross, His bodily resurrection from the dead, and His exaltation to the right hand of God. Man was created in the image of God, but by voluntary transgression, fell, and his only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ the Son of God. Jesus came to save humanity from the condemnation of sin by offering His blood as an atonement and He has made grace available to all who exercise faith in Him. Salvation is received through repentance toward God and faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ. By the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, being justified by grace through faith, man becomes an heir of God, according to the hope of eternal life. The inward evidence of salvation is the direct witness of the Spirit. The outward evidence to all men is a life of righteousness and true holiness.

Holy Spirit

We believe The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead. He is co-equal, co-eternal and co-existent with the Father and with the Son. His ministry upon the earth is to convict and convert man as well as be the great paraclete (comforter, counselor, helper, intercessor, advocate, strengthener and standby) to the Church. The baptism of the Holy Spirit and Fire is a gift from God as promised by the Lord Jesus to all believers and is received subsequent to and is distinct from the experience of New Birth. With it comes the enduement of power for life and service, the bestowment of the gifts and their uses in the work of the ministry. The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is meant to empower the believer to be a witness of Jesus Christ by the preaching and demonstration of the Gospel. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are also evidence of this experience. Whereas there is one initial baptism, there are many subsequent infillings of the Spirit. The ultimate purpose of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is so that we, the believers, may have power to be witnesses.

Baptism

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, Head of the Church, established the ordinance of Water Baptism for the Church to follow. Baptism in water, by full immersion, is a commandment directly from The Lord. It is for all believers. This holy sacrament identifies the believer with Jesus in His death, burial, and resurrection.

Communion

We believe that the ordinance of Communion was also established by our Lord, and must be received consistently until His return. Only believers can come to the Table of the Lord, which consists of the bread and the cup. The bread, or His body, was broken for us. The cup, or His blood, was shed for us. Both elements are witnesses of the New Covenant believers now enjoy while prophetically declaring His soon return.

Sanctification

We believe that without holiness no man can see The Lord. We believe in the Doctrine of Sanctification as a definite, yet progressive work of grace, commencing at the time of regeneration and continuing until the consummation of salvation at Christ’s return.

The Church

We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit with divine appointments for the fulfillment of the great commission. Each believer, born of the Spirit, is an integral part of the church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven.
